I am looking for the best credit card for myself. My credit score is around 685. I had a bankruptcy in 2002. Nothing bad since then.
Answer:
Most bankruptcies remain on your credit report for 7-10 years, you can only reestablish your credit after filing. Clear your credit report of errors. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you have the right to dispute inaccuracies. Rebuild your credit history (keep your employment stable, pay all your bills on time). Apply for a secured card (or even a few) like the Orchard Bank Mastercard that can be paid off each month. 1-2 years after bankruptcy you may be able to receive a home loan. After 7 years, the accounts marked as "included in BK" should be removed from your credit record. Good luck,Manager of Immediate Credit Card Care Service, www.Credit-Card-Authority.com

do both secure credit cards report to yhe creit bureo? How do I know how much money I have to put down?
Answer:
Applying for a secured credit card is a fine way to establish or repair your credit history. To get one you must open a security deposit that will guarantee your ability to pay. Many banks now offer such type of cards for their customers. However these cards are one of the most misunderstood financial tools of our time. The first thing you must remember - it does count on your credit report. As with any other card the information will definitely be reported to the credit bureaus and will definitely affect your score. In this regard the secured card is no different form an unsecured one. That's why it is extremely essential to use it carefully and pay all the bills on time. Talking about the money you'll have to deposit, it may amount to just a few hundred dollars to start. If you eventually want your credit limit to increase and you aren't yet ready for an unsecured line of credit, you can usually add money to your deposit amount in future.

My FICO score is 643 what category does that put in in? Good? Fair? I would lke to consalidate my credit cards with a fixed rate is that possible with an outstanding balance totaling 24k? What is a good company to go with?
Answer:
First of all if you want to consolidate your debt we advise you to turn to the so-called balance transfer cards. They allow you to reallocate your debt from a high interest card to a better one. Using such card you can transfer as much as your credit limit on the card you are transferring to allows. Most of them offer 0% intro APR, no annual fee and some bonuses. However such type of cards is only available for people with good or excellent history (credit score of 660-850). According to your score (643) your credit is fair. Thus you can't apply for a balance transfer yet. Still you can look through fair credit cards from Capital One that are available for balance transfer. Compare credit card features and limits and choose the card that corresponds to your score and complies with your needs. Before applying for a credit card, read carefully all the details and learn the amount of your monthly payments.

which of the 3 credit scores is used by the credit card companies to determine your credit score which determines the type of credit card you receive.
Answer:
Credit score is extremely important as it represents the major indicator of your creditworthiness. That's why when making a decision lenders first of all examine this three-digit number. The higher the score, the more chances you have to receive the best credit. As it happens there are three companies - the so-called credit bureaus - that provide information about your score. These companies are Equifax, Experian and Transunion. Their methods of scoring differ slightly, thus the numbers may differ too. Generally the lenders either look at the lowest score or take the middle rate. The former is more widespread than the latter, that's why it is recommended to be guided by the lowest value when choosing for which card to apply. was i approved
Answer:
After you’ve applied for a credit card online, you have to wait for the bank's decision. It can take various periods of time, depending on the type of the card chosen. You can be approved immediately (with instant approval cards), wait for a couple of days, a week or a month. You see, the bank needs some time to check your credit report and decide whether you qualify or not. If you're approved, a bank sends you a statement and a card itself. We can't tell you exactly whether you've been approved or not as it is only the bank that provides such information. You can enter the official site of the bank by clicking the link "Apply" for the card at our site. In case you don't get an answer for a long time, contact the bank and clear out the situation there. how much total credit line can I get, with income of $400K ? Thanks
Answer:
The credit limit is the maximum amount of money you may charge on your credit card. This limit depends on many factors like your income, how long you have been using the credit card, credit history, your repayment pattern, etc. So, you see, it is difficult to say for sure what credit limit you will get. Generally the bank determines it by your credit risk. So, it depends on the terms of your card and may be changed according to your credit history. If you prove to be a good credit payer, you'll be given a higher limit. That's why before applying for a card consider your credit report and estimate your financial state. Keep in mind that the limit is not a constant figure, it may change as your score changes. And it may not only go up, but also go considerably down. That's why if you want the higher limit you must use your credit lightly, pay all the bills on time and keep your score as high as possible. In this case you'll be able to apply for the best credit cards with the highest limits. All the best, Manager of Immediate Credit Card Care Service
