China Credit Card Offers Are Close at the HeelsIn 1985 the first Chinese credit cards appeared. For quite a long period of time, financial specialists believed that China just wasn't ready to stand in one line with such credit card empires as, for instance, UK and US. Chinese market was considered unviable. Well... Credit companies' trust in the Chinese credit card is paying for itself now, really. It is not only in all other spheres but in the credit card industry as well that China is rapidly developing. It seems that it will not take long that China will stand in one row with credit card Empires. Believe it or not. China is today a wonderful place for making a B2B or B2C. It's a fact. What's nice is that local banks are ready to some kind of harsh competition with international banks in terms of widening their operations. All this makes credit card market extremely competitive. And China is about to become a serious competitor as well. Currently things are somewhat different in China. For instance, you will not be offered the same low rate credit cards as in the US. Chinese credit card market is just not ready to offer its customers best applications that are available in the States. It needs time to become more stable and competitive. The number of credit cards in China is steadily growing, but they are aimed primarily at the officials and executives. They can show their power and influence this way. Credit card offers are not even for the middle class yet. As for credit bureaus, there are none in China. This fact, undoubtedly, hampers the development of the market. Without credit bureaus there is no guarantee that the money will actually be paid back. Therefore, companies prefer to cooperate with the eligible credit clients that will most likely fulfill their obligations. It will take time that credit card bureaus will appear and make the whole application process clear and reliable. It is believed that changes are to come. There are recent researches that show us that the number of purchases made with credit cards is growing. Some statistics: credit card transactions have increased by almost 80%. One more argument that China's market is developing: China has signed an agreement with Turkey with the main purpose to extend its credit card operations abroad. With Garanti Bank credit card (Turkey), a tourist from China can withdraw cash from ATMs. By having signed this agreement, countries hope to realize B2B collaboration. Some may disagree, but it is obvious that China is gradually joining the developed countries. There is still one main goal left to achieve - to orientate this profitable credit card business so that middle income customers can enjoy the services as well. Otherwise, credit card business expansion is impossible. The more people use credit card companies' services the more competitive the particular country's credit card market is. Let us wait and see how Chinese cards' industry is developing.
